From one of the oldest productive blocks of Marsanne in the world, an opulent white wine of remarkable complexity. The pick of fruit from this very special patch of ancient vines is crafted into a wine that's built to age beautifully in bottle, initially brooding and water white, evolving luxurious caramelled characters while unravelling layers of flavour. Within a few short years of inaugural release, 1927 Vines Marsanne continues to claim a breathtaking number of significant trophies, dozens of gold medals and countless accolades from the industry press.
TASTING NOTES
Mid straw hues. Evolved citrus nose, ginger snap and dried pineapple, honeysuckle and fragrant mineral notes. A rich yet surprisingly fresh, butter lozenge palate, piquant with aromatic lime and textural with the creamy acidity of lemon pulp. Gripping and refreshingly dry, showing exceptional length on the chalky, fruit filled finish.

Located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria (120kms north of Melbourne), one of the nation's premium viticultural areas, the property comprises some 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of 11 kms to the Goulburn River and 8 kms of permanent backwaters & creeks. The vineyard comprises 168 hectares of vines which include the rare Rhone whites of Marsanne, Viognier & Roussanne, along with classical varieties such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc & Verdelho.
